Pacific Bondi

Compact spaces command clever and crafted solutions. Extraordinarily so in the case of this coastal terrace that forms the apartment’s principal outlook and frame to the blue Bondi horizon beyond. Working hand in hand with the interior designer, the sculptural qualities, textural plays & pops of colour explored inside, were drawn outside.

To the foreground, a generous outdoor lounge setting forms invites the transition outdoors and counterpoint to the integrated outdoor kitchen. The existing level change was maintained yet injected with warmth and texture with the introduction of lava stone combined with ochre pebbles. To terminate the view, a custom integrated ledge frames the upper terrace and widens to form a generous nook for a low bowl of delicious succulents. An overlay of sculptural pots and plants punctuate the space and soften. Read more…
